Center for Puppetry Arts Coupons and Free Offers

  • Fulton County, Georgia residents, students, and employees receive free admission to the Center on the first Saturday of each month. On Free Saturdays, guests must bring an accepted form of I.D.. This includes a driver's license, student I.D., or government employee I.D. Workshops and performances are not free, but these activities are 25 percent off to Free Saturdays participants. Guests must fill out a short form, available online, and bring it with them on the day of their visit.[3]
  • All visitors receive free access to the exhibits at the Center for Puppetry Arts on Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.[3]
  • The Atlanta Entertainment Coupon Book offers a coupon good for a free admission with the purchase of an admission of equal or greater value. The book is available for purchase through the official website of the Entertainment Coupon Book.[4]

  • For Father’s Day 2011, dads received free admission to the Center for Puppetry Arts. This offer was only valid on June 18 and 19, 2011, and tickets were limited to one per father. The free ticket included admission to the museum, as well as entry to the Jim Henson exhibits, the Cinderella Della Circus, and the Create-a-Puppet workshop. Visitors had to reserve their tickets prior to the event.[2]

  • An annual membership to the Center for Puppetry Arts entitles the purchaser to free admission to film screenings, the museum, and special exhibits for a year. Additional benefits include 45 percent off all performances, a 10 percent discount at the museum store, and discounts on workshops, special events, and adult education classes. Memberships are offered to individuals as well as families. Those who want to donate more to the center have the option to purchase higher-level memberships ranging from Sponsor to Impressario, which costs $1000 and includes an Executive Tour of the facilites with Vincent Anthony, the museum's founder.[6]
  • The Center for Puppetry Arts extends discounts on general admission and membership frequently. Some of the past deals have included Groupon deals, offering a savings of 53 percent off the cost of an annual membership to the Center.[7]
  • Discounted prices for homeschoolers and educators are given on shows and admission for specific dates. Educator prices are $10.50, a $6 discount from the general admission price of $16.50.[8]

About the Center for Puppetry Arts

The Center for Puppetry Arts was opened to the public in 1978 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog. Today, the Center is the largest facility in the United States dedicated to the art of puppetry theater. The center was started by Vincent Anthony.[9] Exhibitions at the museum include "Puppets: The Power of Wonder," "The Art of Puppet Making," and "Jim Henson: A Man and His Frog."[10]
